Who I am

La Web Office is run by me, Ricardo Penafiel, Montreal, QC, Canada. I design websites in English and Spanish. You can reach me at rpenafiel@laweboffice.com.

The free preview

• It's free, and asking for one doesn't commit you to anything.
• It shows how your homepage could look. It's for looking only: the form and buttons don't work, and it isn't published online.
• I send it to you by email as a private link. Please don't share it publicly.
• Your current website stays exactly as it is.
• I build previews in the order I receive requests. The dates I give you are my best estimate, not a guarantee.
• I may decline a request, for example if it isn't a business I can help.

What you send me

When you send me your logo, photos, text or other files, you confirm that you have the right to use them. You let me use them only to build your preview and your website. They stay yours.

To build your preview I may also use public information about your business, such as your Google listing, your Google reviews and your current website.

The full website

If you like the preview and want the full website, I'll confirm in writing, before you pay anything, exactly what's included, the price, the timeline and how it goes live on your domain. That written confirmation is our agreement for your website, and it takes priority over this page if they ever disagree.

Founding client price

The first clients pay a lower founding price. In return, I ask for a short, honest review once your website is live, and permission to feature your website in my portfolio. Both are confirmed with you in writing first.

No promises about results

I build clear websites that are easy to use on a phone. I don't promise a number of calls, inspection requests, sales or Google rankings, and I don't sell SEO or ads.

This website

The text, design and code of laweboffice.com belong to La Web Office. The example roofing website linked from this site is a demo: the company, phone number and content on it are examples, not a real business.

I try to keep this site accurate and working, but it's provided as is. To the extent the law allows, I'm not responsible for indirect losses from using it, and for any paid work, my responsibility is limited to the amount you paid me for it.

Emails

When you request a preview, you agree to receive emails from me about your preview and my website offer. Reply "unsubscribe" to any of them and I'll stop. How I handle your information is explained in the privacy policy.

Law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without taking away any protection the law of your own place gives you.

Changes

I may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. A change doesn't affect a written agreement we already have.
